What to say to patients

“It has been demonstrated that shoulder injuries are more likely to occur when the strong inward rotators of the shoulder overdevelop. This means the ball and socket joint is no longer ‘centred’ properly which can damage the joint and surrounding soft tissues. This is why our exercises are biased towards outward rotation in positions that minimise the potential for injury of the joint capsule.”
