Key teaching phrases
- “Imagine your buttock muscles are elevating your leg not your lower back muscles”

Contraindications
- Inability to hold the plank position due to weakness/lack of endurance
- Elbow, shoulder, ankle, toe or lower back pain during or after this exercise
- Repeated foot cramping during this exercise
