What the patient can expect
Yoga can result in rapid improvements; however, the benefits are mostly related to long-term adaptations. It is therefore recommended patients practise yoga on a continual basis, particularly those with chronic pain.
While the patient may feel some discomfort after performing these exercises they should not aggravate the patient’s condition. If they do it is either a technique problem or they are not ready to perform them.
