What to say to patients
“Rotational single leg squat activates your gluteus maximus at very high levels. It is particularly challenging to maintain your balance during this exercise so it is fine to stabilise with a toe touch and then continue on. Over time this should improve. This exercise is particularly important for sports that involve cutting or turning movements such as football and netball. It may also be of benefit to those with chronic ankle instability.”
