Learning aims

At the completion of this course the participants will be able to:

  • Recall the correct technique and teaching cues for performing stretches for the lower body

  • Recall which conditions can respond favourably to stretches for the lower body

  • Have the knowledge to prescribe the appropriate number of repetitions of exercises for optimal results

  • Recall how to prescribe stretches in different circumstances such as athletes versus cramps

  • Recognise the various effects of stretching on muscle, balance and walking

  • Recognise the effects of foam rolling
